Azurite Mine. Goodsprings, Nevada

Thanks to all who were able to join us on such short notice.  A small group attended this event, but the more events we have, the more I prefer these small groups.  Most we've met through this site have been capable and careful explorers, but we still feel a responsibility to maintain a high level of relative safety.  That has proven difficult in the past because of the numbers involved.    Depending on the route and mines, we may set participant limits for future events.

As with previous events, we reconnected with a few regulars which is always nice to catch up on the latest gossip.  We also met a couple new guys who I already consider friends.  I hope you'll continue to join us for future events. When you first meet someone for one of these trips, you never really know if they'll be a hazard to others and themselves.  It's like going shooting with someone you just met.  Just watching them gear up, I knew we'd get along just fine.

Nothing really interesting to report about this event.  However, I do want to apologize again for holding the group up.  I probably should have sat this one out or picked an easier route until I'm closer to 100%.  Still, I had a great time and look forward to the next event.  Details for that event are now posted.
