The most complete guide to Southern Nevada's mining history.

Green Copper Mine is located South of Las Vegas, Nevada. Nearest towns are Jean, Nevada,  Goodsprings, Nevada  and Sandy Valley, Nevada. Primary mining in the area included: copper, lead, silver, gold and zinc.

In most instances, a small tailing pile meant very little depth, but we've found that the exception to that rule were mines directly next to a trail.  With several mine mills nearby, it's possible that this mine has significant depth, but we'll never know.  Bees are guarding this mine.

We've encountered several bee hives throughout the valley.  Most of them were quite docile, but a few were extremely aggressive, swarming our vehicle as we approached.  It's only a matter of time before the aggressive bees take over the area.
