Mountain Top Mine is located South of Las Vegas, Nevada. Nearest towns are Jean, Nevada, Goodsprings, Nevada and Sandy Valley, Nevada. Primary mining in the area included: copper, lead, silver, gold and zinc.

There isn't much to see at Mountain Top Mine anymore. A few years ago, this mine was foamed and backfilled. Tracks from its main portal are still in place, but disappear into the sealed portal. We were able to locate five portals. All have been sealed which was disappointing since this was once an impressive mine system.
