Spelter Mine is located South of Las Vegas, Nevada. Nearest towns are Jean, Nevada,  Goodsprings, Nevada  and Sandy Valley, Nevada. Primary mining in the area included: copper, lead, silver, gold and zinc.

There are two portals to the Spelter Mine.  The portal to the east and opposite of Hoodoo Mine was uneventful.  We have yet to explore the larger portal facing East along Sandy Valley Rd.
